Joined Dyalog Ltd in August 2024
Neil works as a JavaScript developer in the APL Tools Group.
Neil studied Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh. There he discovered that some “old” languages like Standard ML and Prolog were truly eye-opening, and an enthusiasm for exploring new languages and programming paradigms was born.
Since completing his degree, Neil has discovered various exciting articles and videos on APL, but somehow he didn’t quite get around to learning it. After 15 years working across many different industries and writing production code in maybe ten different languages (he loses count), a conversation with a family friend and long-time APLer convinced him to download Dyalog and start to explore APL properly. He was intrigued, and when a suitable role at Dyalog Ltd was advertised he enthusiastically applied.
We promote a culture where innovation, fun, pride, and acceptance is part of our daily life. We come from a variety of backgrounds, and our diversity enhances our creativity.
…or perhaps even join the team!
