We do our best to develop new language features and tools that will make it easier for existing and future users to build and maintain applications using Dyalog. If you urgently need something that is not on our short-term schedule, you might be able to fund directed development.

The cost is related to how generally useful a feature is, and how much we feel we are being asked to diverge from our plans. Usually, the results of directed development are included in the product and become available to all users.
