Brandon is a developer for the Dyalog Static Analysis Tool.
Currently based in Tokyo, Brandon’s formal background is in mathematics and he earned a Master’s degree in Discrete Geometry from Waseda University. However, his IT background extends back to primary school, where he started programming TI calculators in BASIC. Habitual exploration of programming languages and paradigms eventually led him to APL. After a few attempts, he resolved to “get into Iverson’s head” and wrote a YAML parser prototype, which he presented at Dyalog ’23. That project started a desire to work with APL professionally, and he joined Dyalog Ltd in 2024.
We promote a culture where innovation, fun, pride, and acceptance is part of our daily life. We come from a variety of backgrounds, and our diversity enhances our creativity.
We’re a small team spread across half a dozen countries, united by a shared belief that powerful software doesn’t have to be complicated. A lot of us have been here for years, some for decades, because there’s still no shortage of interesting problems to solve.
…or perhaps even join the team!
