APL Problem Solving Competition

The annual international competition encouraging problem solving using APL

Between 2009 and 2023, the APL Problem Solving Competition invited people from all over the world to solve problems using APL. Although the competition was aimed at students, and only students were eligible to win cash prizes, non-students were also able to participate. Over the 15 years that the competition ran, students, hobbyists, and professionals tackled a range of puzzles and programming tasks that rewarded clear thinking and clever use of the language.



The problems tackled, and a selection of solutions, are available by year:
