User Meetings
Connecting APL professionals and enthusiasts
We host various user meetings and events that encompass a wide range of geographical locations, abilities, requirements, and budgets.
In addition to our own user meetings and events, members of Team Dyalog regularly attend (and present at) user meetings hosted by APL user groups and other relevant events. Our event calendar includes information on upcoming user meetings and events.
Dyalog User Meetings
Sharing Knowledge and Building Bonds Within the APL Community
Dyalog user meetings are 5-day in-person events, usually held in September/October. They are an opportunity to update your technical knowledge and product training, attend workshops, gain exclusive previews of upcoming functionality, meet your peers, and talk with members of Team Dyalog. Delegates come from diverse global locations, and include new and long-time users, hobbyists and professionals, students and retired community members, migrants from other APL implementations, and potential and existing customers.
Each Dyalog user meeting has a unique logo. These are based on pieces of ancient Scandinavian jewellery, honouring our Scandinavian management team and thriving user base across the Nordic region.
The Dyalog user meeting location originally alternated between Europe and North America; since 2014, it has been held in Europe exclusively. In 2024 it changed from an annual event to a biennial one.
DYNA
Strengthening the APL Community Across the Americas
Dyalog North America (DYNA) user meetings are (usually) 2-day in-person events that often concentrate at least in part on a particular theme, for example, migrating to Dyalog from other APL implementations.
Delegates are usually from the Americas. Since 2024, DYNA meetings have been annual events, with additional smaller meet-ups introduced in 2025.

APL Seeds
Introducing Dyalog to the next generation of APLers
APL Seeds user meetings were online events aimed at new and prospective users of APL. Each half-day meeting comprised brief overviews of the language, introductions to available resources, and demonstrations of real-world applications using APL.
APL Seeds meetings ran from 2021-2024.
